How It Works

  • What gets checked during a maintenance visit?

    The visit covers the control panel, backup battery, door and window contacts, motion sensors, cameras, NVR or DVR recording, and the central-station monitoring connection. Remote app access is also tested and confirmed before the visit closes.

  • Do I need maintenance if the system still arms and disarms?

    Yes. A system can arm and disarm while cameras have stopped recording, sensors have dropped off a zone, or the monitoring connection has gone silent. Regular testing catches those failures before they leave a gap in coverage.

  • What happens if I delay getting the system checked?

    A low battery that is not replaced will eventually cause the sensor to stop reporting entirely, creating an unprotected zone with no panel alert. A dropped monitoring connection means central station receives no signal if the alarm triggers.

  • Is maintenance the same as replacing the whole system?

    No. Maintenance focuses on testing, cleaning, and fixing specific components. Replacement is only discussed if a part is failing beyond repair, and that decision is explained with the specific fault reading before any work is agreed.
